Chosen as one of the journalists that received online training in audience development, business models, content creation and more to develop an independent journalistic project for Venezuelan migrants in Colombia. ​

I was selected as one of 10 journalists in Latin America to work on a migration journalism project, which featured the challenges that Venezuelan migrants encounter while accessing education in Colombia and other countries.

"Invisibles: los niños durante la pandemia" (Invisibles: children during the pandemic) won "The Power of Stories" contest for raising awareness about food insecurity. The documentary was created in collaboration with Alejandra Ortiz and Maria Mónica Monsalve.

Recipient of the Early Childhood Reporting Fellowship for journalists of focused on the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in young children in Latin America. 

Chosen by the International Center for Journalists to lead a digital project on Venezuelan migrants in Colombia for El Espectador, Colombia's largest newspaper.

Recipient of the Rosalynn Carter Scholarship for the project "Venezuelan Migration: A Mental Health Challenge," a series exploring mental health issues among Venezuelan migrants in Colombia and Latin America.
